We believe that personalisation is the key to creating unique and meaningful gifts. It is therefore our aim to create as many as 40,000 personalised gifts every day, contributing to our motto: Spread a little happiness around the world! We are about to innovate the way we deal with personalisation. Both the way it works for the customer on the website, and the way we deal with it internally. Everything is being revamped. What will you do?

You will work with a project team consisting of developers, a UX designer and a product owner to optimize and revamp YourSurprise's personalisation experience.

The challenge here is in the complexity of personalisation. How do you make it as simple as possible for the customer to personalize a product, while at the same time offering as many configuration options as possible when storing and processing it into a gift? Together with the team, you explore the different options and techniques. What role does 3D play? What personalisation options are there? And how can we make these changes without the customer noticing?

Who are you?

You are an inquisitive and motivated developer with at least an HBO working and thinking level and at least 5 years of demonstrable experience in Software Development. Also important is:

• You have experience writing easily readable and maintainable code with PHP or TypeScript;

• You are capable of (unit) testing and static analysis of this code;

• You are good at structuring complex projects;

• You have experience with Cloud services, such as Google Cloud;

• You are able to develop APIs that can be used in multiple places;

• You enjoy thinking about technical solutions to further improve business processes;

• You consider User Experience an important part of the applications you build;
